Eliada Morgan

Born on July 24, 1930, in Dozsin, Poland, Edda experienced the hardships and uncertainty of World War II as a young child. Her early years shaped a life defined by strength, resilience, and an appreciation for the simple joys of home and family.

Edda married Bruno Morgan, and shortly afterward they welcomed their daughter, Sybille. Together, Edda and Bruno immigrated to the United States, eventually settling in Sebastopol, California, where they built their family home and raised their daughter. Later, they relocated to Surprise, Arizona.

Edda found great joy in creating a beautiful home and caring for the world around her. She loved gardening and took tremendous pride in her fruit trees, flowers, plants, and backyard. She had a special gift for growing orchids and houseplants, and her home was filled with beautiful plants that seemed to flourish under her care. Her love and patience extended to everything she nurtured.

Edda was also a wonderful cook who took great pleasure in preparing delicious meals for those she loved. She became known for her famous cheesecake and her homemade orange marmalade. She continued making her marmalade well into her early 90s—a testament to both her dedication and her love of sharing something homemade with others.

Edda will be remembered for her strength, her independence, her love of gardening, her talent in the kitchen, and the warmth she brought to the home she so lovingly cared for. The beauty she created around her and the traditions she carried through the years will remain part of her lasting legacy.

Edda is survived by her sister, Adrienne Witzig and son-in-law Clifford Swords.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bruno Morgan; her daughter, Sybille; and her brother, Arnold.

Though Edda's life spanned nearly a century and carried her across two continents, perhaps her greatest legacy is found in the things she nurtured—her family, her home, her garden, and the many small and beautiful things she brought to life. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
