Gail left this earth to join her best friend and lifetime love Daniel Eugene Luellig on July 2, 2024. She’s most remembered for being a spirited, funny, kind and often feisty woman who was loved by many. She spent her youth, along with her seven siblings, in Mystic, Connecticut. Her favorite childhood things involved outdoor activities like clamming, crabbing, boating, and ice skating in winter. She enlisted in the United States Navy and served with honor. She met Dan in her hometown while he was stationed there and after a whirlwind romance, she served as a military spouse throughout her husband‘s career and raised her children with a deep love for the people who serve. Dan and Gail made Buckeye, Arizona their home base and upon Dan’s retirement from the US Navy and the successful raising of their three children, Dan and Gail explored our great nation. Gail considered that the best adventure in her adult life.
She made us laugh, and laughed at herself. She was loyal, supportive and strong. She loved camping, watching her children at their activities, cheering on her grandchildren and had a special love for DVD collections and binge-watching shows like her favorite Big Bang Theory. She was a self-professed horrible cook, but her kids would run for her clam dip and hot dog casserole. When she wasn’t outdoors, she and Dan were giving the Laughlin and Vegas casinos a run for their money. She was the first to say yes to girls' trips, karaoke nights and BBQs. Her pride in her family was reflected in the collection of photos posted on every square inch of wall space and the annual Christmas day photo.
Her legacy of love includes her children; Sherry Ann Addair (Chris), Paul Joseph Luellig (Bonnie), and Theresa Jo Tirres (Anthony); her grandchildren; Jordan Mace (Jessica), Samantha Mace, Daniel Luellig, Alyssa Tirres, Terayah Stukes, Treydan Stukes, Ashlyn Tirres, Emma Luellig and Evan Luellig and 5 great grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings; Barbara, Candace, Timothy and Patrick.
She is preceded in death by her soulmate of 50 years, Daniel (Eugene) Luellig, her brothers Mike and Paul, and her granddaughter Shelby Rhiannon Fait Luellig.
