George attended Thornton High School - where he was the first black in Gymnastics (Rings; Floor; and Trampoline) and majored in art. He continued with a few classes at School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His passion was art and his talent was working as an interior designer in Chicago until 1999.
George relocated to Avondale, Arizona to be close to family. He enjoyed traveling, having fun, and working as a freelance designer. Many homes have been touched with his one-of-a-kind designs.
George was the second child of five siblings. He will be remembered as a fun, loving, and charming son, brother, and friend.
George is survived by his mother Corrine Moore Threalkill, his sisters Paulette Smith and Tamara Avant and his brothers Dennis Moore and Michael Moore, his brother-in-law Lester Smither and sister-in-law Gina Moore and many extended family members.
George was one of a kind and he will never be replaced. He takes with him a part of us as we move forward, but he left us much that is a part of him.
George will be missed deeply, for he brought joy and laughter to all of us and lived life to the fullest.
