Gerald Morgan

Gerald’s mother passed away when he was a baby. His uncle David Morgan adopted him.

Gerald worked in the Steel Mills. At 18 he enlisted in the Navy where he got his GED and became a Radar Operator on Destroyer USS Perkins.

After the Navy, Gerald trained and became an Air Traffic Controller for 32 years. He received early retirement and flew Pipeline Patrol for 10 years. In 1967 Gerald became a part time Patrolman for the Russell KS Police Department for 37 years. During this time, he met and married Shirley Morgan. Their marriage lasted 37 years until Shirley passed away.

Gerald was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member in good standing with the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine C. Morgan; two daughters, Joann McKean and Ann Michel and a son, David Michel.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Morgan.

A Gathering will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at 402 E Narramore Avenue in Buckeye, Arizona.

The family suggests donations be made to the American Legion Post 53, Buckeye, Arizona or the VFW Post 12098, Buckeye, Arizona.
