Gregory Lavel Pitchford

August 31, 1968 – September 13, 2026

Gregory Lavel Pitchford was born to Barbara Ann Broady-Pitchford and George Ralph Pitchford, Senior on August 31, 1968, in Los Angeles, California. Gregory was the youngest of three (3) children.

Gregory attended Trinity Elementary School, Carver Junior High School, Thomas Jefferson High School, and earned several college credits.

As the youngest child, Gregory was often lovingly pampered and received a great deal of love and attention from his parents and extended family. His favorite color was blue, and he had a special interest in older-model cars.

Gregory was a dedicated and hardworking employee. He worked at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Goodyear, Arizona for eight years.

Later in life, Gregory found a life partner, Jo Ann Cofresi who loved and believed in him. She was instrumental in encouraging Gregory to attend church and in helping him find solace in living a life pleasing to God.

Gregory was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Broady-Pitchford; his brother, George Ralph Pitchford Jr.; and his sister, Yolanda Denise Pitchford.

Gregory leaves to cherish his memory his niece, Charlene Pitchford of Los, Angeles, California; a very special person and life partner, Jo Ann Cofresi of Surprise, Arizona; his father, George Ralph Pitchford, Sr of Chicago, Illinois; an aunt and uncle; and a host of cousins, great-cousins, friends and former co-workers.

Gregory will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and friends and for the people who walked alongside him throughout his life.
