Growing up in Los Angeles he attended Manual Arts High School where he graduated in 1966. Continuing his education at Trade Tech College, he excelled as an auto mechanic. On May 10, 1968 he married the love of his life Sheila Marie White. When he wasn’t working long hours at Pacific Bell he volunteered his time coaching and mentoring kids at the Lake View Terrace Recreation Center, making an impact in the community he had a very generous heart. Herman loved taking time off every year to take his family on vacation. He loved to fish and camp outdoors under a starlit sky. In, 1999 Herman retired from Pacific Bell and moved to Casa Grande, Arizona where he kept himself busy by working at Home Depot. Every year, he looked forward to the “Man’s Trip” where he loved to fish and sit around the campfire, shootin’ the breeze with the men of the family; always sharing his wisdom and life experiences wherever he went.
