

He was born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, on April 18, 1943. He was the son of the late John and Dorothy (nee Rhoads) Kline. John graduated from Boyertown High School in 1961, a proud member of the Class of 1961.
In 1967, John married Elizabeth (nee James) in Nowata County, Oklahoma. Together, they raised their family until her passing in 2000. John was a devoted father to their two children, Heather L. (Miguel) Garcia of Surprise, AZ, and John B. (Renee) Kline, Jr. of Boyertown, PA.
John served as an Airman 1st Class in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965, serving in the Vietnam War, and serving at other postings in Amarillo, TX, Okinawa, Japan, and Holloman AFB, New Mexico. After his military service, John attended the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK, before beginning his career with Eastern Airlines in 1968. Over the next 40 years, he worked diligently at the Philadelphia International Airport, continuing with US Airways when Eastern was acquired.
After retiring, John cherished his role as a grandfather, attending countless baseball and basketball games to cheer on his grandsons.
John is survived by his children, Heather L. Garcia and John B. Kline, Jr.; five grandsons, Lane Kline of Peoria, AZ, Miguel Garcia of Surprise, AZ, Mateo Garcia of Surprise, AZ, John B. Kline III of Philadelphia, PA, and Andrew (AJ) Kline of Boyertown, PA; and one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Kline of Cordes Lakes, AZ. He is also survived by his niece, Valarie (Douglas) Deysher; nephews, Richard (Carol) Rockwell, Lee (Debbie) Rockwell, Jon (Tammy) Waggoner; and sister-in-law, Mari Waggoner of Talihina, OK; along with extended family and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Elizabeth, his sister Jacqueline (Kline) Rockwell, and his niece Cathy (Robert) Evans.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in John's memory.
