John Albert Schultheis

John A. Schultheis, 81 of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on August 16, 2025, in Goodyear, Arizona. He was born on October 7, 1943, in Plainfield, New Jersey to the late John and Marie Rose (La Porte) Schultheis.

John was one of four siblings, all boys (Arnold, Willie, Jimmy and John) who grew up in New Jersey. He worked as a Barber in New Jersey starting in 1965. He landed a job on Wall Street in 1968 working bonds. He married his first wife, Lil, in 1966 and welcomed their first child, Robyn, in 1972. Their second child, Kerri, came in 1975. They divorced in 1984. He married his second wife, Cindy, in 1983. They welcomed their first child, Brad, in 1984. Their second child, Cheryl, was born in 1986. They got divorced in 2019. John has lived in Goodyear, Arizona for the past several years with his beloved corgi, Ren. John was a first generation American, avid golfer, and eclectic storyteller.

He is survived by his daughters, Robyn A. Barfoot, Kerri L. Barnes, Cheryl M. Kay and son, Bradley A. Schultheis; six grandchildren, Jacob Kay (15), Haven Barnes (13), Natalie Kay (13), Jack Schultheis (9), Aria Schultheis (9) and Ricky Schultheis (5).

John was preceded in death by his father, John Schultheis, mother, Marie Schultheis, brothers, Arnold Schultheis, Willie Schultheis and Jimmy Schultheis.

A Graveside Service will be held at West Resthaven Cemetery, located at 6290 West Northern Avenue, Glendale, Arizona, 85042. The service is scheduled for August 29, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
