Linda Fay Chandler passed away on August 27, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on June 13, 1942, in Marion, Indiana, she was the cherished daughter of Charles Edwin and Geraldine (Havens) Satterthwaite. Linda graduated from Oak Hill High School, marking the beginning of a life filled with dedication and love.
Linda was a faithful and generous individual, known for her kind-hearted nature. She served as an office manager for a dental office, where her organizational skills and commitment were highly valued. Her career was a testament to her strong work ethic and attention to detail.
On April 22, 1962, Linda married Gene Wallace Chandler, with whom she shared a loving and enduring partnership. Together, they raised two children, daughter Kelly and son Jeffrey, and in 1979, the family made their home in Litchfield Park, Arizona. Linda was a devoted mother and "Baca," or grandmother, to her two grandchildren, Kennedy and Chandler DeJong.
Her personal interests included shopping, sewing, and crafting, through which she expressed her creativity and generosity. Linda was particularly renowned for her incredible Cheese Cauliflower Casserole, a dish that brought joy to many family gatherings.
Linda's legacy is one of love and nurturing. She was a mother to all, known affectionately as "Mrs. C," to all of her children’s friends. She offered constant support and fairness to both friends and family. Her loyalty and nurturing spirit left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. Linda's memory will be cherished by her loving husband, Gene W. Chandler, her daughter Kelly DeJong and son-in-law Lance DeJong, her grandchildren Chandler and Kennedy DeJong, and her son Jeffrey Chandler, along with all who knew her.
