Some knew Dave as Papa Hemi, Daddy, brother, Uncle Dave, or Pops; all of these names we share with love and adoration. For most of us he was a hero. Dave breathed life into what seemed helpless situations and pulled many from despair. His warm handshakes and soothing hugs became a calling card. He was as big as they come, and we will miss him greatly.
Dave is survived by his daughters, Kim Mills, Michele Massey, Meredith Ballew; son, Aaron Wheeler; brothers, Kenny, Del, Clint, and Lane Mills; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife Waylene Mills; parents, Gene and Vicky; and brother, Don Mills.
