

Marty was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, veteran, and aviation professional whose life was defined by dedication, hard work, and service to others.
In 1971, Marty proudly joined the United States Air Force and served his country honorably for 20 years before retiring from military service. During his distinguished career, he served as a flight engineer and had the distinguished honor of serving aboard Air Force Two. His commitment to excellence, professionalism, and attention to detail earned the respect of those who served alongside him.
Following his military retirement, Marty continued his lifelong passion for aviation by working in the aviation industry for more than three decades. Most recently, he was a valued member of the Atlas Air training program, where he helped train and mentor pilots. He also continued supporting military aviation by assisting in the training and development of military pilots. Marty took immense pride in his work ethic and remained dedicated to his profession until the very end.
Above all, Marty cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie Becker; his son Robert Becker and his wife, along with their four children and six great-grandchildren; and his son Steven Becker and his wife, along with their three children and the joyful anticipation of a great-grandchild on the way.
Marty is also survived by his brothers, Mike Becker and Bud Becker and sister Linda Downey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ividor and Virginia Becker, and his sister Jo Coleman and brother Gary Becker.
Those who knew Marty will remember him for his unwavering work ethic, his love of aviation, his service to his country, and the pride he took in supporting and mentoring others. His legacy lives on through the family he loved, the pilots he trained, and the countless lives he touched throughout his remarkable journey.
Marty will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
A gathering with family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 20 from 10:00 am until the Celebration of Life at 12:00 pm at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 South Litchfield Road, Goodyear, Arizona.
A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at 12:30 pm on Monday, October 19, 2026, at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, Phoenix, Arizona.
