On November 29th, 2025, we said goodbye to Mathew Ryan Fisher, 50, of Laveen, AZ. He was born January 19th, 1975, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, to Ronald Eugene Fisher and Marcella Ann Skultety. Mathew will be remembered as a jovial and giving man who was always willing to help others. His work was rooted in the helping professions—whether in behavioral health, education, or retail management—and he consistently sought to brighten the day of those around him.
He possessed an uncanny ability to connect with just about anyone, human or animal alike. Mathew always had a smile, a joke, or a word of encouragement, and if someone had a need he couldn’t fulfill, he almost always “knew a guy for that.”
Mathew’s children were the light of his life. His favorite activity was cheering them on at theater, dance, or school performances. He took every opportunity he could to support them, spending years as a PTA president, Dance Booster Club founder, and a dedicated volunteer.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Dr. Jessica Fisher, and his children Amelie, Ellory, and Balen Fisher, as well as his sisters Amanda Knott and Natalie Krecota.
For those wishing to offer support during this difficult time, a GoFundMe page has been set up for the family:
