Mildred Lucille Marshall died on April 2, 2012 in Goodyear, AZ. She was born in Mitchellsville, IL on March 9, 1922 to Luther Bryan and Effie Buchannan. She was preceded in death by her husband Dan Marshall of Goodyear, AZ; two sisters Bea Fitzpatrick of Hugo, OK and Sybil Norman of Harrisburg, IL, and her brother Lester Bryan of Sterling Heights, IL. She is survived by one son Steve Marshall and daughter-in-law Marie of Camp Verde, AZ; three grandsons, Daniel Marshall of San Antonio, TX, Bryan Marshall of Anton, TX, and Brody Marshall of Goodyear, AZ; 2 great-grandchildren, Kelsea Marshall of San Antonio, TX and Tate Marshall of Anton, TX.
Lucille was married in Oakland, CA to Dan Marshall, a preacher for the Church of Christ, of Manhattan, KS on February 14, 1943. She helped spread God’s word wherever her husband preached. Lucille was an accomplished seamstress, cook and Bible class teacher and helper in God’s vineyard.
Lucille worked for the phone company in Oakland, CA during WWII. After marriage, they moved to Santa Rosa, CA. They have lived in California, Vancouver, B.C. Canada, Utah, and Arizona. In Arizona they lived in Keams Canyon, Gila Bend and Goodyear.
Interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 10:00am. She will be laid to rest next to her husband.
