Alfredo Muñoz Galindo, Jr., age 78 of Corsicana, Texas and Avondale, Arizona, passed away surrounded by his family, May 29, 2016 from complications of liver disease. He was born in Navarro County, Texas, on May the 4th, 1938, first-born son to Alfredo Maldonado Galindo and Carmen Muñoz Galindo. Alfredo graduated from Agua Fria High School, Class of 1956, in Avondale, AZ and advanced from traditional farm working into the long-haul trucking business moving furniture and warehouse management, a career which lasted nearly 50 years. Alfredo played varsity basketball in high school, loved football, read western novels, and entertained himself and others as a musician and locally popular country-western karaoke singer. He was a born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and loved learning the Word of God and sought to share his knowledge of the Scriptures with others of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Belia, grandsons, Alfredo (Freddie) M. Galindo IV and Steven J. Bulfer.
His survivors are his children w/spouses: Gloria & David Janz, Carol Bulfer-Zaragoza & Michael Zaragoza, Alfredo M. & Michelle Galindo III and Mary Ann Servin. Grandchildren w/spouses: Monica R. Bulfer, Casey & Kristina Galindo, Jenna R. Galindo and Diego Servin. Great-grandchildren: Mia R. Jarvis, Easton Jarvis, Saundra Galindo and Dominic Galindo. Siblings w/spouses: Raquel Tellez, Eleanor Salas, John & Rosa Galindo, William & Susan Galindo, Ortensia & Felix Garza and Martin Galindo; many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
A viewing will be held at 9:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am, Friday, June 3, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd, Goodyear, AZ. The family suggests that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.
