Irene Nancy Krejci (nee Jankowski), 87, passed away peacefully in Arizona on the eve of her 88th birthday, October 17, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Edward Joseph Krejci, whom she married at St. Hyacinth Basilica, Chicago, IL. She is survived by her three children: Nancy Jean, Steven Edward (Pamela), and Louise Ann (Scott); six grandchildren: Derek (Stephanie), Janelle (Jesse), Kenneth, Darci, Alanah, and Logan; and five great-grandchildren: Jasmyne, Jay-Q, Jesse III, Samantha, and Jonathan. Irene was born in Chicago on October 18th, 1928. Her cheerful and strong disposition radiated daily from her homes in Chicago and Mount Prospect, to retirement in Spring Hill, FL and continued to Sun City, AZ. Golfing became her main focus in retirement, resulting in a hole in one, which was a highlight in her life. Irene enjoyed crocheting, tai chi, and maintaining a happy home. We are at peace knowing Ed and Irene are together cheering the Cubs on to a World Series victory. Irene’s caring spirit cannot be replaced and will be missed tremendously. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
