Reanae Marie Shepherd

Reanae was raised in Rosalie, Nebraska — a place her son affectionately referred to as “Mayberry” because of its small-town charm and close-knit community. She carried those hometown values with her throughout her life. She was proud to have earned her Associate’s degree from the Community College in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, an accomplishment that reflected her determination and commitment to personal growth.

In 1981, Reanae married the love of her life, Richard. In 1982, they made the move to Arizona, building their life together throughout the greater metropolitan Phoenix area before settling in Avondale, where they lived for 35 years. In 1985, they welcomed their beloved son. She was preceded in death by her son at the age of 35, as well as by her parents and grandparents.

Reanae is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Lee Shepherd; her sisters, Lana Bohannon and Dee Johnson; and her brothers, Eugene Hennig and Carey Hennig. She will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and deep love for her family.

Burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Nebraska at a later date.
