Sally F. Villalpando

Celia “Sally” F Villalpando was born on April 20th, 1934, in a small town near Gallup New Mexico, was one of four children born to Jose and Vicenta. After her mother passed when she was two, her father moved their family to Winslow AZ, where she spent most of her childhood. Sally shared an extraordinary life with her beloved late husband, to whom she was married to for 72 years. Together they raised seven children: Patricia, Louise, Juanita, Michael, Rebecca, Yvonne, and Anita. Sorrowfully, Patricia and Michael preceded their parents in death.

Sally graduated from Winslow high school in 1952. At the age of 19 she married Miguel. After they began expanding their family, Sally became a dedicated homemaker to a household of nine. She was undoubtedly the heart of the home. She had a passion for sewing and crafting. She was very creative and stitched love into every beautiful, elaborate textile she designed. Hosting family parties for major events and holidays truly delighted her. Bringing her family together overjoyed her, because she knew they were forming traditions and memories that would last a lifetime. Other things she enjoyed were thrifting, singing in the church choir with her husband, playing BINGO, and weekly trips to the casino. Sally was the matriarch of the Villalpando family, she forged a lineage that will continue on for decades. Her love, wisdom, gentle hugs, infectious laugh, and caring presence will be missed by many. The remembrance of Sally will live on through the one thing she cherished most, her familia.

Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 South Litchfield Road, Goodyear, Arizona 85338, USA, on May 29, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Rosary will take place at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 South Litchfield Road, Goodyear, Arizona 85338, USA, on May 29, 2026, at 6:00 pm.

Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 512 N. 93rd Ave., Tolleson, AZ 85353, on May 30, 2026, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 9925 W Thomas Road, Avondale, Arizona 85392, United States of America, on May 30, 2026, at 11:30 am.
