In his early years, Scott developed a passion for extreme sports, particularly BMX biking. He loved to ride freestyle, and there was no risk Scott wasn’t willing to take on the back of a bike. He once rode a wheelie for a full mile on a Gobby BMX! Scott also had a love for music, singing in a Punk Rock band he formed with some of his closest friends. He performed in numerous talent shows and was involved in musical theater. He eventually found his true talent in mechanics. He loved fixing up bikes and cars, particularly his prized possession, a 1967 Volkswagen Bug.
Scott had a larger than life personality and loved to entertain others with his quick wit and winning laugh. He was the “funcle” (fun uncle) at family events to whom all the kids would flock, hoping to hear one of his grand stories of winning a gold medal in trampoline jumping or holding the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest shoe-tier. Scott’s greatest passion was for helping others in need. He was a champion for the downtrodden, and no matter what he was going through at the time, he would drop anything for someone down on their luck. His shining heart will be what his loved ones will remember most fondly.
Scott is survived by his mother, Sandra, and his brothers Todd and Brett. He is preceded in death by his father, Cecil.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Donor Network of Arizona.
