It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tatyana Analicia Russell, born on November 10, 2007, who left us on September 16, 2024. Tatyana was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, and her light shone brightly in the lives of everyone who knew her.
As the eldest of seven siblings, Tatyana was a remarkable big sister, always looking after her younger siblings with love and care. She attended Millennium High School for her freshman year before continuing her studies online after her cancer diagnosis. Despite the challenges she faced, Taty maintained a spirit of resilience and joy. She found solace in painting, building with Legos, and sharing her passion for life through her popular TikTok content.
Tot loved the thrill of watching scary movies, but her heart belonged to Disney’s Tangled, a film that perfectly captured her whimsical spirit. She cherished outings with friends, exploring the mall, and indulging in new culinary experiences, but her favorite was her dad’s grilled steaks and white rice. A lover of all things pink, she adored pink tulips, chocolate almonds, and her extensive collection of Hello Kitty items and stuffed animals.
Showing a talent for makeup, Taty learned to apply it flawlessly. Though her beauty was only matched by her kindness. Even in the face of constant pain from cancer, she wore a smile, reassuring others that she was okay, often shielding them from her struggles. Tatyana fought bravely for 15 months, always thankful for her blessings and devoted to her faith in Jesus. Her daily prayers reflected her gratitude, and she never took a meal or drink without thanking her Savior.
Tot loved spending time at the beach and Disneyland, and she found joy in thrift shopping with her mom. Her favorite shows included Cobra Kai, Young Sheldon, and Desperate Housewives. She also had a loyal Chiweenie named Coco, who loved snuggling on the couch with her.
Tatyana is survived by her mother, Erica; her father, Marshawn; her sister, Londyn; her biological father, Patrick; her stepmother, Mary; and her siblings, Azayzel, Charlotte, Ezra, Liam, and Jordynn. She leaves behind her cherished grandparents: Nana Olga, Tata Lavelle, Grandma Eloise, Grandma Rochelle, Grandpa Will, and Grandma Janet; her special Tia, Lynna; her best friend, Ashley; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Grandma Polly Dominguez.
Tatyana’s warmth, sweetness, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of life for Tot will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd., Goodyear, Arizona 85338. The family asks that donations be made to Arizona Cancer Foundation of Children, honoring Tatyana’s love for helping others.
