Wayne, you will be deeply missed. I feel truly fortunate to have known you and to have had the opportunity to work with you. Your kindness, guidance, and the way you treated those around you left a lasting impression on me. 

One of my last memories is…
I wanted a TEL shirt to fit in at the customer site, and a few days later,  you handed me a polo shirt  even if it was a men’s, you made sure I had one. 

It’s difficult to believe you’re gone. I will always remember you with great respect and gratitude, not only as my boss, but as a genuinely good person. Thank you for the encouragement, the conversations, and the memories.

Rest peacefully, Wayne. You will be remembered and missed more than words can say.

I was saddened to hear of Wayne's passing.  I had the privilege of working with him as a vendor.  He kept me on my toes, in a good way!  He was helpful in sharing his knowledge of TEL processes and what was going on in the semiconductor industry, which was helpful to me as a newbie in working with TEL.  He will be greatly missed.

I had the privilege of knowing  Wayne as a coworker. He was well liked by so many and always carried himself with integrity and kindness. Wayne’s positive attitude and genuine nature made a lasting impression on those around him. He will be deeply missed and my thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. May he rest in peace. And always make sure you make your bed every morning as it’s starts each day in the right direction.  Leo J

Wayne was no doubt a force to be reckoned with. Incredibly smart, humorously witty and strongly devoted. It was great watching the closeness between Wayne and Keith. I'd often hear them on the phone (for hours) talking about literally everything under the sun, politics, history, firearms, family, work. Wayne always gave sound advice about the semi conductor world and really helped Keith thrive in that space. He will be dearly missed by Keith and the entire family as well as close friends and coworkers. His time here was short but his impact was immeasurable. Rest in Heaven Wayne! We love you!

I’m deeply shocked to hear of Wayne’s sudden passing.
We started co-work with Wayne san from 2024 when open Arizona Fab.
We went through many difficult things together and overcame them. Now they are all great memories.
I am so sad to have lost him. I will never forget him.

To Wayne’s family,

I’m so sorry for your loss. Wayne was a truly great person and a friend who always took the time to listen, support, and be there for the people he cared about and people he didn’t know.

I will miss the conversations we shared about politics, racism, family, and life. We didn’t always agree, but that was one of the things I appreciated most about Wayne. We could have our differences, talk about them openly, and still walk away as friends. He made me a better person, and I hope he could say the same about me.

One memory that will always mean a great deal to me was when Wayne came to Texas to watch my son, an Air Force cadet, play in an Army-Air Force baseball game. Wayne always asked how my son was doing, and the fact that he took the time to come watch him meant more to me than he probably ever knew.

And, of course, whenever the Army-Navy game came around, Wayne and I always made sure to give each other a hard time. He was Army, I was Navy, and neither of us was going to let the other forget it.

My deepest condolences to his wife, Leigh, his brother Keith, whom I also knew, and the rest of Wayne’s family. Wayne will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Wayne was a wonderful example of TEL leadership. He always volunteered and willingly invested in college students interested in semiconductors.  This is Team TEL at a Career Fairs.

This week, I lost someone who was much more than my manager - he was my friend.

A good manager can influence the way you work, but a true friend leaves an imprint on the way you live. I will always remember his guidance, his friendship,  and the moments that made even the most difficult days a little easier.  
Our paths may have crossed because of work, but the friendship we built went far beyond it. I'm grateful to have known him, grateful for the memories we shared, and deeply saddened that his journey ended far to soon.
Rest in peace Wayne. You will be deeply missed, always remembered, and never forgotten.

I first started working with Wayne at Applied Materials around 2007 at the Intel fab in NM. We ended up being assigned to the same Customer Engr team, and he brought a positive energy to dealing with every challenge. Our relationship was the primary reason I was able to transfer with my wife back to our home state of Idaho in 2021 to work with Wayne again. I’ll always be grateful to him for making that opportunity and further career advancement possible.

Wayne was a fantastic friend, and he will be deeply missed.

I knew and worked with Wayne for many years, and I will always remember the banter and insight he brought to every conversation. Whether we were talking about sports, traffic, who would win the Commanders Cup, or which Star Wars movie was the best, I could always count on Wayne to have an opinion.

His quick wit and decisive thinking defined him.

The most impactful conversations I had with Wayne stemmed from challenges I was having with my son. My son had just graduated and was getting into trouble. As I shared my concerns with Wayne, he told me, “Have him enlist in the Army. If they can’t fix him, no one can.”

His words proved prophetic. My son enlisted and thrived thanks to Wayne's advice.
