Albert E. Summers

have a memory or condolence to add?

December 15, 2017

Pat, Sorry to hear about Al, my condolences. It seems like yesterday that I saw him outside of the house in the front yard as so often he was. Al and I were in New Jersey and only came back on 12/13 to learn of the sad news. I ran into DeeDee Serman at a garage sale on Friday in Windermere and she told me about Al. So sorry we were not present, but you know we would have been there. If you need anything, please let me know. Sincerely, Nora Gonzalez, your neighbor.

I am so sorry to hear of Al's passing. Janis and I have so many fond memories of times at church and having lunch together and many, many cards and email messages, Pat--stay confident in your faith and know that Al is at ease and waiting for you to join him many years from now. Blessings on you and your family.

We always enjoyed having Al and Pat visit our store and salon. Al was a special person and a true gentleman and someone we have enjoyed keeping in touch with. If JCPenney's had more people like Al it would be better off today. Thanks Al for being a true friend. You will be missed, but the good memories remain.

If I did not know that J C Penney was born in Missouri, I would consider that Al was Mr. J C Penney. He exuded a certain pride about himself, whether in the role of husband, father, grandfather, neighbor, friend, brother, or cousin. In loving memory and with the sincerest sympathy, it was an honor to have known him.
