Alejandrina Lora-Navarro

Alejandrina Lora Navarro AKA "Nina" whom would have turned 103 on November 26, has peacefully gone to be with the Lord on September 23,2012. She was born in Cuba in the city of Baracoa back in November 1909 and has seen monumental changes throughout her life. She was the first born of 11 siblings. She never married nor had children of her own however she has been a mother figure for most of her siblings since their father's early death. She dedicated her life to her family and raised 6 of the 11 siblings. As a seamstress Nina work endlessly to provide her siblings after their father's passing. She took pride in designing and producing infant clothing in her early years. In 1992 she came to America to accompany for her youngest sister whom had become widowed. Since then she has assisted in the rearing of several nephews and nieces. Nina was always a very soft spoken, loving, caring and very religious person. She never went to bed or awoke without praying to the Lord. She undoubtedly has a place in heaven. Nina will be missed by her family and friends, and is survived by her sisters Josefina Baquero Orlando Fl, and Esther Landa Havana, Cuba. Nephews: Reynaldo Mendoza, Miami Fl, Juan Baquero, Orlando, Fl. Nieces: Maritza Landa, Miami, FL, Angelita Mendoza, Varadero, Cuba, Sofia Baquero, Orlando, Fl, Rosie Baquero, Orlando, Fl along with great nieces and nephews Giovanni, Ivan, Rafael, Joel and Yalana, Lisandra and Valessi.
