He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 5, 1963 to Rose Tymczyszak and the late Apolonio Tijerina.
After graduating from Holy Trinity High School, Alejandro received a trade school degree from ASE Certification. He met his beloved, Rina Tijerina, and asked her to be his girlfriend on September 27, 1980. She was only 15 years old. Alex officially made her his bride on May 24, 1994.
Alejandro excelled as an automotive transmission rebuilder with Motra Transmission, AAMCO Transmission and All Transmission World. He was a member of Boy Scouts of America and had a passion for gardening, home improvement, decorating for the holidays, sports and RX7 rotary.
Alex was an Amazing Person-- full of life, happy, loving, compassionate, caring and a hard worker.
Alex had a great heart. He loved his family; he was a very devoted Husband and Father.
Alex was a people person. He was the biggest joker...had great photo bombing skills and perfect timing for his witty jokes, as well as comedy and incredible trivia skills!
Alex was a huge pillar in the family -- there will be a huge void that will never be filled...
His legacy will live forever in our lives and hearts.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Rina Tijerina; children, Alejandro Tijerina, Jr. and Jessica Tijerina; grandchildren, Christian, Taylor, Isaiah, Mya, Audriana and Tiana; his mother, Rose Tymczyszak;
and, his siblings, William, Rosana, Judy and Miguel.
The Tijerina Family invites you to a Visitation held on September 30, 2018 from 1-3pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida. A Celebration of Alex's Life will begin at 3:00pm, followed by burial on the same grounds of Woodlawn Memorial Park.
