I knew Alex through my nephews Chris and Tyler Zaworski.  He was always happy and smiling.  My condolences to his fat and friends.  Such a huge loss💔

I attended Alex's funeral in Florida and simply cannot get him out of my mind. In the slide show, he always had that huge winning smile in photos. I also spoke to some of Alex's friends and they all said what a great, fun- loving friend he was to them. It is clear that Alex will not be forgotten by those who knew and loved him.

Words don’t accurately describe the life and energy that Alex Indar brought to our brotherhood. When he was around his brothers he was always the goofiest kid in the room. His smile and energy was contagious to those around him. 

It was more than just fun and games. Alex went out of his way to sit down and help brothers that were going through their own difficult times. Even when dealing with his own problems, he showed how much he loved this chapter and the brothers within it that he loved them.

 As a chapter, we grieve for the void his absence leaves us with. We don’t take his loss personally, this chapter was his way of finding solace from the difficulties he faced in his life. This is why he hid these problems from us when he was around, it was his time to get away from them and be happy with the people he loved the most. His presence alone did the same thing for everyone that surrounded him. College yields many hardships for everyone, but Indar could put a smile on your face no matter what you were going through. We have no doubt in our minds that being at the chapter house around his brothers was his favorite place to be. 

We express our deepest condolences to the entire Indar family. As far as the chapter goes, we feel most sorry for those that didn’t get to know him as well as his closest brothers.


Alex Indar will always hold a special place in my heart. We have been through a lot as pledge brothers of Pi Kapp, and he always put a smile on my face whether he tried to or not. I give thanks to my brother who crossed the narrow bridge that leads from life temporal to life eternal. The thought of Indar will always remind me of the self-sacrifice, the loyalty, and virtues of brotherhood within Pi Kappa Phi. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and the rest of our brothers. 

Alex Indar was so much more to me than a fraternity brother to me. He was a best friend, a roommate, a lifelong friend, someone I could never imagine living without.  I would often think about being at his wedding, there for his first-born child, catching up with him years from now - when we all left Gainesville, grew older, had families and were true adults.

The memories I have of Alex will be the things that keep me going through these tough times. Every experience, every laugh, every moment I am grateful for. I feel lucky, blessed and honored to have spent the time I did with Alex, traveling, adventuring, sharing each others company. These are the great memories he blessed everyone with and the things I will hold on to forever. 

Alex was my little brother from the moment we met when he was 12 years old. We had brother/ sister lunch dates throughout the years..we had our shows that we watched together..he annoyed me with his music Slipknot..he cursed then begged me not to tell him mom..but at the end of the day, he was a good kid with an amazing smile and kind heart.  He loved me and my niece as his family.  I will never forget the moments we shared throughout the years.  His birthday was the last time I saw him.  We had such a nice day together.. tons of stories,  laughs and selfies. I never knew had these demons..he told me everything except for this..I will never forget my baby brother..I love you Alex Indar. R.I.P. my love..may we meet again

Alex was vibrant, young, bright-eyed. He was just learning to become a man and had more to give than anyone could know. He was of a giving and kind nature, he celebrated life and his friendships. I had many positive encounters with Alex after a year of working with him, and I pray his soul has found peace and that he dances eternally in the light of being. You are missed Alex, travel well.

You will always be my brother. I remember sleeping at your apartment while pledging. I remember crashing other apartments’ parties. I remember you staying with me over summer. I remember laughing every single  time we talked, even when we were fighting. You’re one of the goofiest kids I’ve ever known, and I loved you for it. No matter the times I irritated you, or got irritated by you, it was always love. I’ll miss you more than you can know, thanks for being you.

I met Alex when he was 3. He was such a tiny cute little boy. He made me laugh he never stopped talking!

I didn’t know Alex long, but for the short time I knew him, he was truly a kind and caring brother to me. Alex was the first to tell me he enjoyed my paintings and that I should continue to paint. That was Alex though, he always carried a smile and kind intentions, and he will be in my heart forever. I love you man, rest in eternal peace brother.

Alex was one of the first friends I made in Gainesville. He was always joking around and making people laugh. The first person I looked for when I walked into work was Alex because I knew that even if it was a rough night he’d have a smile on his face. He was so easy to talk to and have fun with. Thank you for the memories and the laughs, I will always hold them close to my heart. 

Alex...you were the easy kid to manage of the bunch (sorry Anik).  Thank you for always being so kind to my Keith,  You will be missed by all.   

Alex was a lovely guy took my son josh under his wing  and helped him to make freinds in school in Orlando , always full off fun , absolute pleasure to have known him , we will miss you all from Scotland 

Alex was one of the first people I met when I moved to college and started working at Outback. Seeing him walk through the door at work always made me smile. He always made having to be there bearable. Alex was always in a good mood and always made me laugh when I wasn’t. Thank you for always including me and for being my friend. Even though for a short time, I was blessed to have had the chance to know you. You are an amazing person and I will miss you. 

Alex, the memories I have of you are from long ago when we were much younger. I remember you as an exuberant and humorous child. Full of life and funny antics. I remember spending time with you at the home you lived in Lawrence Harbor, NJ. I remember those few days I spent in Orlando in 2003. I would’ve never expected life to turn out this way for that fun filled child. I won’t pretend I knew you well or that we were close, but I am truly saddened to hear of your passing. I can’t imagine life was all that easy on you, particularly knowing from history the way things can be with our paternal figure. However, I pray that the Divine grants your soul peace and eternal salvation. I pray that as your soul journeys forth, it is freed of all pain and sorrow and that it is filled with serenity. I pray for those you left behind that must learn to live with your absence. Sleep well Alex. RIP

Alex always knew how to make me laugh even when I didn’t feel like it. Through everything, he’s been so amazing and nice and caring to me and always made sure I was okay before himself. You made me feel safe and taken care of when I was with you. I love the memories that we have together, even the sucky movies and 1 am trips to Tally, and I’ll have them forever. Alex was my first friend that I made when I moved to Gainesville. He was always pushing me to step out of my comfort zone and to come hang with the boys. When he finally convinced me, we immediately grew a special bond. Alex was never afraid to tell me the truth and was always there when I couldn’t take it. I will always be grateful for the memories we shared and for him showing me what it was like to experience true friendship. Thank you for being my wingman, therapist and my confidant. I was blessed to meet you and I’ll always have a place for you in my heart. I love you Alex Indar, rest easy. 

Brother, the memories made in apartment 1313 together will never fade.  You were always there when I just wanted to call and see “what’s good”. I’m gonna miss calling you. I love you brother. May you Rest In Peace. 

I will never forget the first day I met Alex. We were both in 5th grade after school program because both our parents got out of work later. Me and him clicked right off the bat. Ever since, throughout middle school, high school me and him were always together. Alex and I used to have our super long hair for what reason I’ll never know (it looked sick)  I brought him to football summer training and I’ll never forget he made all of us do over 100 pushups because he said he was “tired”. I will never forget you brother. You were supposed to be my best man at my wedding. I will never forget the great memories we had. I love you 

Alex where do I begin, I remember the bridgwater days we had lol talking about fun and cracking jokes as teens. Not to mention the mean Jamaican bus driver he had when I use to live in Summerport always yelling at me or you😂🤣🤣🤣 miss you man I wish I knew you went to UF I would of transferred over there.

Alex was everything good a person can be. He was my best friend, my sidekick, the person I could confide anything and everything in, and my biggest fan. He always made me feel on top of the world and special beyond words. I feel privileged to love and be loved by him unconditionally. Through every up and down, he was there, and we would always say life was better when we were together. I know without a doubt he’s watching over me forever. Thank you, Alex, for sharing your soul with me. You are so special. I love you more than you know.

It’s difficult to consider that a person with such a big personality and zest for life is no longer with us. 

I hope that wherever you are, you are happy and free to skateboard through the house, back flip into the pool, and make as much noise as you want because that’s how I’ll always remember my wild child cousin Alex.

Alex was a great friend of mine and my "big brother" in Pi Kapp. He was charismatic and charming and could always fill a room with laughter. Everyone loved him and loved being with him. I was always able to count on Alex and knew I could come to him with anything. One of Alex's best traits was that he could effortlessly inspire confidence in others- I will never forget the times he did that for me. Thank you for being a good friend to me Indar. I love you brother. 

Alex was my best friend in my years at college. Since I met him he always knew how to make everyone in the room crack up with laughter. He was someone I could always count on and spent most of my time doing things with him. We had an unusually strong connection and we would always say it’s weird how we’ve only known each other for 3 years because it feels like we’ve been best friends with each other for all our lives. I loved everything about the kid and he was someone I knew for certain would always be in my life. As for now I remember the best from him and his spirit is something I will always carry on my shoulder. Love you so much Alex Indar.

So overwhelmed with feelings of sorry for the lose of this young beautiful life ~ just totally heartbreaking...
