With profound sorrow and immeasurable love, we remember and celebrate the life of Alexandra “Allie” Marie Sigl, who was born in Chongqing, China, and raised in Valrico and Plant City, Florida, by her devoted parents, Rob and Dolly Sigl. Her bright spirit, fierce determination, and kind heart touched all who knew her.
Allie was born on January 16, 2004, in Chongqing, China. At just 15 months old, she was welcomed into the loving arms of her devoted parents, Rob and Dolly Sigl, who cherished her beyond measure from the very first moment. From that day forward, Allie’s life was filled with love, laughter, and a deep sense of belonging that she carried with her always.
A truly driven and high-achieving young woman, Allie approached life with passion, discipline, and an unwavering belief that she could accomplish anything she set her mind to—and she did. She graduated as the salutatorian of her Durant high school class and earned her Associates Degree while still in high school, during Covid, a reflection of her dedication, intelligence, and tireless work ethic. She went on to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, where she proudly earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business, with minors in Communications and Leadership, on May 1, 2026.
As a proud first-generation, adopted college student, Allie carried her journey with strength and purpose. As a pre-law student, she brought an interdisciplinary perspective shaped by her leadership across many spaces, including cultural organizations, student advocacy, and legal research. From directing nationally recognized programs to managing significant budgets, Allie led with confidence and compassion—building inclusive communities, mentoring others, and driving meaningful change. Her passions centered on using advocacy to empower others and create lasting impact in the communities she cared so deeply about.
Allie’s time at the University of Florida was marked by extraordinary involvement and leadership. She was a member of Florida Blue Key, one of the university’s most prestigious leadership organizations. She served as a Guardian ad Litem in the 8th Judicial Circuit, advocating as a court-appointed representative for children experiencing abuse, neglect, or abandonment—work that reflected her deep compassion and commitment to justice.
Within alpha Kappa Delta Phi International Sorority, Inc., Allie rose to the role of Chapter President, where she led operations, strategy, and executive board management with strength and vision. She also contributed nationally as a Judicial Framework Intern, helping standardize governance policies across more than 65 chapters, and previously served as Vice President of Membership and Recruitment Chair, guiding and mentoring new members with care and intention.
Allie’s leadership extended into cultural and campus life through her dedication to the Vietnamese Student Organization at UF. She served as President, leading a large executive board and overseeing programming for hundreds of members, and later as Internal Vice President, coordinating large-scale cultural showcases featuring hundreds of performers and attendees. As External Vice President, she managed events, partnerships, and budgets while strengthening community connections.
She was also a proud Florida Cicerone, serving as an official student ambassador and volunteering countless hours supporting university events and fostering school spirit. Her commitment to service extended across many roles, including her work with Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law, where she served as Director of Diversity and Outreach, leading programming and connecting students with legal professionals.
Allie gained valuable professional experience through internships and roles that reflected her wide-ranging talents and ambitions. She conducted legal research and case analysis as a Student Legal Intern, authored work on international adoption law, and contributed to global market research during her internship in Seoul, South Korea. She also supported the Collegiate Veterans Success Center, worked in student services roles assisting thousands of peers, and provided compassionate care as a physiotherapy chiropractic assistant. Earlier in her journey, she demonstrated strong work ethic and leadership as a Pacesetter at Chick-fil-A.
Allie was not only accomplished in leadership and academics but also in athletics and creativity. She was an award-winning gymnast, earning countless honors through years of dedication. She played flag football and was on the track team. She was an avid reader and an accomplished writer, winning many prestigious awards including 1st place Nonfiction and Honorable Mention Poetry, with a natural ability to express herself with depth and creativity.
She lived life fully and fearlessly and was proud to let others know she earned her motorcycle license and had a motorcycle endorsement on her license. Allie loved spending time with her friends—going to concerts, enjoying nights out, and making unforgettable memories filled with laughter. She had a deep love for travel and adventure, always seeking new experiences. From skydiving, cruising around on her scooter, to time at the shooting range with her dad, she embraced life with courage and enthusiasm. She also found joy in personal fitness and cooking, always striving to better herself while sharing those passions with the people she loved.
Allie shared a beautiful and loving relationship with her boyfriend of three years, Kai Weng. Together, they built a bond rooted in love, friendship, and shared dreams. They were eagerly planning a meaningful trip to China in July to visit Allie’s birthplace—something she looked forward to with great excitement and anticipation.
On May 4, 2026, Allie, Kai, and dear friends were on their way to Miami to celebrate her graduation with a cruise to the Bahamas, when their lives were tragically taken in a head-on collision. Though her time with us was far too short, the impact she made in her 22 years will endure forever.
Allie was predeceased by her grandfathers, Jess Bonnell and Michael Lepsis. Allie is survived by her loving parents, Rob and Dolly Sigl; her grandmothers, Bobbi Bonnell and Betty Lepsis; her uncles and aunt, Michael Lepsis and Greg (Cara) Lepsis; and her godparents, Michael Lepsis and Margueritte Bolles Miller. She is also remembered with deep love by extended family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Allie’s life was a testament to strength, love, ambition, and joy. She lived boldly, loved deeply, and inspired everyone around her. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the countless memories she gave us and the enduring light she leaves behind.
