

Allen Alford Moree Jr., 91, of Orlando, Florida passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 surrounded by his family. Allen was born December 26, 1930 in Roanoke, Alabama to his late parents Allen A. Moree, Sr. and Evelyn Yarbrough.
The Moree family moved to Orlando in 1944 where he attended local schools; graduating from Orlando High School in 1949. After graduation he entered the United States Marines. Upon returning from military service he attended Orlando Junior College. Allen was employed in the can manufacturing industry for 40 years as a sales representative; retiring in 1996. Upon retiring, he developed a hobby in woodworking, making many items for their home, family members, and neighbors. He also could be found on the golf course weekly. Allen and Rhoda were introduced to the fun of square dancing by a neighbor and were members of Whirl & Twirl Square and Round Dance Club of Orlando and The Hoedowners of Casselberry. They added round dancing to their repertoire and could be found practicing in their garage getting ready for the next dance or trip to out of state conventions or special events.
Allen is survived by wife Rhoda of 67 years, daughter Rhonda Hennessy (Thomas) and son Michael (Cathy), four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida. Service is Tuesday, March 29th beginning at 11:00am, with Graveside burial to follow.
