February 16, 1934 – July 28, 2026
Angela Matilde (Pellico) Waltz, 92, of Gotha, Florida, affectionately known to her family and friends as "Winkie," passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Angela was born on February 16, 1934, in Puerto Padre, Cuba. A staunch patriot, she dedicated many years of her life to civil service with the United States Navy. Alongside her husband, she traveled the world, embracing every new place and experience with warmth and enthusiasm. Angela was also well known among family and friends for her sharp wit and her good-humored habit of shaving a few years off her age — a running family joke, as many of her legal documents never quite agreed on her true birth date.
Angela shared 62 years of marriage with her devoted husband, William Waltz, a bond built on love, loyalty, and adventure that carried them through decades together.
She was preceded in death by her father, Manolo Pellico; her mother, Florenza de la Torres; and her siblings, Manolo Pellico, Nidia Catala, and Eugenio Pellico.
Angela is survived by her husband, William Waltz, and her three children: Jennifer McLeod of Rock Hill, SC; William John Waltz (Alana) of Ramona, CA; and Julie Madziarczyk (Scott) of Temecula, CA. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Kevin Roper, Jr. (Lyanne), Cortney Mamaty, John Madziarczyk, Kayden Roper, Truette Roper, and Brooke Corbo.
Angela will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, a proud patriot, and a woman whose quick wit and love of adventure brought joy to all who knew her. Her spirit, laughter, and love for her family will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
