Born March 10, 1938, in Kissimmee, Florida, she was the daughter of the late George W. Lorenz Sr. and Mary Lee Babb Lorenz Ruic and stepfather, Frank O. Ruic. Ann was a graduate of Osceola High School and retired from the Florida Telephone Company in 1990 where she was a customer service representative. While living in Kissimmee, Ann was a faithful member of Shingle Creek Methodist Church.
After retiring, Ann moved to North Augusta, S.C. to be with her beloved sister, the late Mary Lorenz Kerr. Ann spent the last ten years of her life in Columbia, S.C. to be near her nephew, Larry, his wife, Jean, and their family.
Ann was predeceased by her sister, Mary Kerr and Mary's husband, Jim, and by many beloved "Lorenz" half-siblings and "Babb" uncles and aunts. In addition to being survived by multiple cousins with whom she was close while growing up and living and working in Kissimmee, she is survived by her nephew, Larry Kerr, his wife, Jean Arrants and their family, with whom Ann spent many enjoyable and happy times during her later years residing in South Carolina.
Ann had a quick wit and good sense of humor. As a young woman, she enjoyed and competed in ballroom dancing. She loved children, animals and Florida beaches. Ann long looked forward to a heavenly reunion with her cherished older sister, Mary, and their mother. Ann will be dearly missed but not forgotten.
