Mrs. Hayden was one of my teachers at The Master's Academy and she inspired me to be who I am today. She was always patient with a troubled child like myself and I took that model of loving kindness and continue to it to my own relationships today. She is one of a few people whom left a permanent fingerprint on my life and I will be forever grateful for the time I spent learning from her. She was  a true treasure on earth. 

Just wanted to share with you something that Mrs. Hayden told me years and years ago.  It stuck with us and we have taken her wise words and used them to be open and honest with friends about learning differences;  and in turn, have had the opportunity to spend much time advising and encouraging other parents . . . she blessed our family with her Godly wisdom!

This is from an introduction to a "report" I created for ourselves, family, teachers, and other parents . . . 


Mrs. Ann Hayden, the “Gold” (God's Opportunities for Learning Differences) director at our school once told me, 

“If you never remember anything I ever say to you, just remember this one thing . . . ‘You will use this again' . . . whether it be with a friend, another parent or your own grandchild . . . God has given this to you, too, so that you will use it again sometime in your life to help someone else.” 

 That is our goal.

Ann's voice will always be in my head as I talk to parents. The way she would say "It's going to be ok, Mom" (amidst taking copious notes on everything that was being said), somehow reassured all in the room that indeed, things would be ok. Ann's voice will always be in my head as I look around my classroom to make sure it is not too visually cluttered because "Many of your students are easily distracted, so help them by making sure the focus is where it should be." 
Ann's voice will always be in my head as I look into the frustrated eyes of a student who learns differently and promise him we will "figure this out...together." Ann is one of the best educators I have ever known. Her passion for learning and helping others learn is unmatched and inspiring. Her gentle but firm guidance, her wonderful spirit, and her precious voice will be surely missed but not soon forgotten. Thank you, Lord, for Ann Hayden, the many gifts you gave her and her willingness to share them with all she met!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.  Remember all the good times you had with her and know that she is with the Lord.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Annie's passing. Having met her only the one time that I remember, she will be forever a cousin that I wish I had gotten to know better. From the one meeting, I was enfolded into her loving arms and surrounded by her generous spirit. She probably felt compelled to lead Joe through the Pearly Gates and I hope they entered hand in hand. I pray all the family can find peace and comfort knowing that other family members and so very many friends are grieving the losses with you.

You taught me so much about Jesus. I will alway remember you for your kindness, patience and giving spirit. I have missed you and will continue to miss you. Rest in Peace my Dear Friend.

I remember Ann from the days she taught at Pine Hills Christian Academy.  I did not know her personally, but knew her through friends.  I was able to visit her with a friend when she was at Golden Pond.  She had a wonderful smile and a sweet spirit.  She will be missed here but welcomed in heaven.

How many ways can I say "I love you, Ann Hayden"... you were one of the most remarkable women that I ever met. You were a mentor and such a great example of love and grace, encouragement, and contentment.  You guided me so wisely when my mother became ill and departed for Heaven so early in my life.  We worked together for things that really counted in this life, we laughed, we played, we had great friendships through TMA (and PHCA!). I count myself among the most blessed to have been with you in these last months as you drew ever closer to seeing your Jesus. You told me you were going, and I did not believe you! I forgot my number one rule of wisdom...Listen to Ann!   There will never be anyone quite like you. I will miss your smile, your laugh, and even your determined spirit. I know though that you are joyful and free of pain in the arms of your Saviour, and when I think of you, that's the face I will see!  Look at me...writing like I am still talking with you....perhaps I always will!  My joy, and yours, is that we will meet again. I LOVE you, Ann Hayden!        

And on Monday...I was humming for you...This world is not my home, I'm just a passing thru, my treasures are laid up some where beyond the blue, the angels beckon me from heaven's open door, and I can't feel at home in this world any more. 

Yes...the angels were beckoning you from Heaven's open door...because you just were not at home in this world anymore. 

Tom, Patty and Bill...you are also among the most blessed people on earth...and yet, you know this! What a wonderful wife/mom you enjoyed!

Ann's love for all and especially for individuals with special needs will always be her legacy. She made a real difference in the life of our Tammy. It was a privilege to teach with her at PHCA and share Christ's love with "our kids". For the family, we pray fond memories will ease the pain of your loss. God Bless!

I thank God for the privalidge of knowing Ann for these many years.She was definately an educator. At church she and I shared classrooms across tne hall from each other. She taught the elder ladies class and  I taught the mens class. Many times she shared literature and lesson plans with me I really missed her this past year. I had the -pleasure of taking her to her 80th birthday dinner. Tom could not go because he could not handle the wheel chair.I will miss her a lot. I am thankful that God made us friends and we shared through His love!

Mrs. Hayden was my K4 teacher at PHCA, a long, long time ago.  I will always remember her as being so sweet and kind.  I enjoyed seeing her around campus until I left after 10th grade.

I wish her family peace during this time of loss and I pray that you are comforted by your loving memories of her.
