Aszad attended and graduated from the University of Guyana with a bachelor's degree and had a career in Auditing/Accounting for GPC-Stockfeeds.. He married Goytrie "Patsy" on December 19, 1980.
Aszad had a passion for music such as Ghazals and playing his harmonium.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy; brother, Mustapha and sisters, Shereen, Carmen and Yasmin and also numerous brothers and sisters in laws and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby and brother, Azeem.
Viewing will be held on Monday, August 28 from 5-9pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL and funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday from 9 to 12:00 with a witness cremation to follow, also at the funeral home.
