Barbara Jane Blair

Barbara died July 24 while in residence at the Rehabilitation Center of Winter Park in Maitland at age 87. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 plus years, LeRoy, and her daughter, Donna, and brother William. She is survived by her son Ronald, brothers Paul and Gary, and sisters Beverly and Joyce. She was born in Miami and lived in Michigan, Newfoundland, New Jersey, Key West, Jacksonville, Guam, and Long Beach CA, with her husband where he was stationed with the Navy prior to his retirement to the Orlando area in 1970. She has lived at her current address in Seminole county for the past twenty years in the home she and her husband built. She was a proud graduate of Miami Edison High School and attended reunions years later. She attended junior college in Long beach and had a career doing bookkeeping and payroll, eventually retiring locally from WOFL channel 35. She was a member of Eastern Star and attended masonic functions for a number of years. She was a tireless and courageous caregiver to her mother, daughter, and husband during their illnesses. She loved pets and shared her life with dogs and cats for many years. She encouraged her children to obtain degrees at UF and UCF. She loved her family and was blessed with neighbors and friends who were with her thoughts and prayers as long as she could hold on to them.
