Barbara Moore Finch

Finch, Barbara Moore, of Winter Park, FL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023. Born in San Diego in January of 1936, Barbara is survived by her children, Kathleen, Dee, and Jimmy; her grandchild, Serena (Rob); her great grandchild, Bella; her nephews, Adam and Taylor; her great nephews; and many, many long-time cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara Bingham Moore and Admiral E.P. Moore USN (Ret.); and her sister, Molly Susan Rinehart. Barbara found great joy in her family, her friends, and her faith, and was proud of both her Bachelor’s Degree (Rollins College, 1958) and her Ordination as a minister (2005). Her generosity was evident in her many overseas missionary trips, including trips to bring God’s written word to those in Singapore, the Philippines, Israel, and even Russia. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 pm on Saturday, March 18th, at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Gotha, FL. Barbara will be laid to rest the next day, on Sunday, March 19th, following a 2 pm funeral service (also at Woodlawn). A Celebration of her Life will be held after the funeral at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, FL, from 5 to 8 pm (on Sunday, March 19th).
