Bertha Virginia Smothers Vanzant, age 81, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025. She was born in Winston Salem, North Carolina on January 4, 1944. She graduated from Winston Salem High School.
She married James Lloyd Vanzant on October 20, 1983. Her and her husband, owned and operated, A-Lloyd's Vanzant Plumbing.
Bertha was a member of the Red Hat Society and the V.F.W. and had a passion for the beach, loved cooking shows, playing Bingo and she loved to dance.
She is survived by her children, James Lloyd Vanzant Jr., Christopher Lee Vanzant, Tina Marie Vanzant Byrd and Tamie Jo Vanzant; her grandchildren, James Lee Vanzant, Chris Lloyd Vanzant, Lance Mitchell Falter, Jesse Brock Vanzant, Brittney Savannah Wilson, Kyle Vanzant, DJ Vanzant and Ashley Nicole Vanzant; her great grandchildren, Ryliegh Coy, Gerald Ray Wilson, Esther Mary McCrae, Lorelei Vanzant, Kailani Falter, Lyric Vanzant, Maverick Vanzant, Kaeden Vanzant, KJ Vanzant, Ezlynn Jones Vanzant, Emilee Vanzant, Gabriel Vanzant, Harper Vanzant, Henry James Vanzant and Lucas Bugsy Vanzant.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lloyd Vanzant.
