BETTY VERDIN DISHAROON 86, went home to be with the Lord and passed away on 3/19/2023. She was born in St. Louis, MO on November 23, 1936 to Leonard Verdin and Margaret (McDonald) Verdin. Betty graduated from Hancock High School in Lemay, MO where she was a member of the National Honor Society, Attended Girl's State, Secretary of the Student Council, Asst. Editor of the Growler, Year Book Staff, and played all sports.
After graduation she coached a softball team in South St Louis County and worked for Ralston Purina Company in St. Louis in the Budget and Planning Department where she met her husband Robert Bruce Disharoon of Maryland. They were married for 33 years before he passed away in 2000. She was a homemaker, but when her husband was transferred to FL with RPC, she went back to work for them in the Accounting Department. She worked for Ralston Purina for 15 years and when the plant was closed she went to work for Earl K. Wood at the West Colonial Tag Agency. She worked there for 10 years before retiring. Over the years, she enjoyed bowling, bridge, yearly trips back to St. Louis to visit her schoolmates, cruising and volunteering at Pine Ridge Elementary. She also served as President of the Women's Club of Kings Ridge for 2 years, and Vice-President for 2 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her daughters Lynn Marie Serpico and Elizabeth Kathryn Comstock (Timothy), Grandchildren, Anthony J. Guardino, John W. & Jesse B. Robb and Kathryn E. Comstock, Great-grandchildren, Nataley, Alexis, Aubrey, Skylynn , Dallas, & Giovanni and by her beloved cousins, Jeannette Zesch and Sharon Smith. She loved to dance & was a friend to many and a close devoted friend of 69 + years to Bee Dulle who preceded her in death. The family would like to thank all the Neighbors of Kings Ridge, Remington, and lifelong friends who faithfully provided love, friendship and support.
