
Betty Mae Thurman passed into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 9th, 2021, at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, Georgia. Betty was born August 3, 1955 to the late James O. and Gracie M. Thurman. She is also predeceased by two brothers-David Lee and Charles E. Thurman.
Betty moved to Florida with her family in 1967, and lived in Orlando for 44 years. She was employed for many years by Lockheed Martin in Orlando. In 2011 she moved to Fitzgerald, GA.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Thomas Fenton, of Fitzgerald GA; her brother, James E. Thurman and his wife, Linda, of New Egypt, NJ; two nieces and a nephew- Carrie Thurman, of Bellingham, WA; Deanna Rodriguez and husband, Rick, of New Egypt, NJ; and Daniel Thurman and wife, Tiffany, of Browns Mills, NJ; four grandnieces and one grandnephew- Jenna and Julia Rodriguez, Talia, Gracia, and Zephan Thurman; several brothers-in-law and their families, and many cousins.
Betty loved God and her family. She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and NASCAR races, but especially enjoyed keeping in touch with family with phone calls. Her daily calls will be missed.
Services will be held on Monday, March 15th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
