Bobbie Winifred Johnson

Bobbie W. Johnson was granted her angel wings on September 1st, 2020. Her final months and days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Bobbie had touched in so many ways throughout her long and very memorable life.

Bobbie, better known to many as “Nana”, was born April 7th, 1927, in Stapleton, Georgia, to Eula and Albert F. Peebles. She grew up in Winter Park, Florida and graduated from Winter Park High, It was there she met her future husband and love of her life, Gordon Johnson.

Her early years of their marriage she worked at Don Motts Insurance in Downtown Orlando. Her favorite occupation came later and that was being a mother and a homemaker.

She is survived by her brother, Gerald (Buck) Peebles; sister in law, Hazel Peebles; son, Steven Johnson; daughter, Linda Johnson; two granddaughters and a grandson, Sheena, Kyle, and Chelsea; two great granddaughters and a great grandson, Kyleigh, Kelsey, and Sage.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harry Peebles; sister, Jewell Peebles; sister in law, Margaret Peebles; and husband, Gordon Johnson.

A visitation for Bobbie will be held Friday, September 11, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 11, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A graveside service will occur Friday, September 11, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A reception will occur Friday, September 11, 2020 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
