She was born in Chicago, Illinois, a Cubs fan through and through, on February 6, 1944 to James & Valerie (Glogowski) DeCoster.
Bonita met her husband, Joseph C. Spurny, Sr., on a blind date and in 1965 they were married and they raised a beautiful family together. She spent her life supporting them, from cooking kielbasa to leading all their troops: Brownies, Bluebirds, and even helping in Cub Scouts. After she raised her son and daughters, With her artistic spirit, she ventured into the world of cake decorating and enjoyed it very much. In her free time, Bonita would often have a book and a cup of coffee, with a pup on her lap. Their home was always full of animals, and feisty dose of humor. We will cherish her always…
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Spurny, Sr.; father, James DeCoster, and mother, Valerie Glogowski; and her sisters, Mindy Clapeck, Maureen Hermano.
