Bonnie Turner Hullett, 83, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on September 15, 2022, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Dementia surrounded by her family as she danced into Heaven into the arms of our Lord and her loved ones awaiting her arrival. She is now whole, vibrant, as beautiful as ever, smiling down on those yet to join her.
Bonnie was born on October 13, 1938, to Virginia Belle Tuner and Miles Jancie Turner in Spartanburg, South Carolina. During high school Bonnie was a star player on the basketball team known as “Peanut” due to her short stature. Nothing stopped her! After graduation, Bonnie eventually settled down in Florida and raised four children. Bonnie immediately lit up any room she entered and made an impact on so many people. She made friends everywhere she went. She loved her friends and family and filled her home with warmth and kindness. Bonnie loved to play tennis, run, and spend time in the pool or on the lake boating. Bonnie ran multiple mini marathons and was active in her church in Winter Haven, Florida, loving Jesus all her life. She was a dedicated volunteer for local area hospitals. Bonnie loved to take long road trips to see the United States.
Bonnie went on to obtain a college degree after her children left home and worked as a bookkeeper for Lockheed Martin for years before retirement. In her later years, when Alzheimer’s was starting to make its presence, Bonnie would love to introduce her family to everyone she met, spend hours looking at pictures of her family covering her walls and give the most amazing hugs. Mama, your hugs will be missed each day.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Miles Jancie Turner, and Virginia Belle Turner, as well as her brothers Earl Turner and Robin Turner (as an infant) and her granddaughter Rachel Danks. She is survived by her daughters, Gengie Hullett Nail (Doug Nail), Susie Hullett Lott (Wayne Lott), Donna Jean Danks, and by her son, Michael Reid Hullett. Bonnie was blessed to have multiple grandchildren, including Heather McFarland (Brian McFarland), Spenser Jungwirth (Logan Jungwirth), Jordan Hullett, Konner Cloninger, Madison Cloninger, and Rachel Danks. Bonnie loved her grandchildren with all her heart and loved to spend time with them. Bonnie was especially blessed to have great-grandchildren that brought a sparkle to her eyes in her grander years. Jack Cavey (Spenser Jungwirth), Hunter Cavey (Spenser Jungwirth), Kennedy McFarland (Heather McFarland), and Louis Jungwirth (Spenser Jungwirth).
The family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s foundation in lieu of flowers.
