After a difficult pregnancy and a long night of labor, Brian was born on May 30, 1973, at 6:30am to Jerry and Charlotte Burgess in Orlando, Florida. He was a beautiful baby – perfect head, perfect body, because he was born by Cesarean section. He was the happiest child, especially on his birthday and loved to tell jokes. On his birthdays and at Christmas he always wanted a jeep, trailer and boat. When he was older, he built air boats and loved ice cream cakes, so he wanted an airboat on his cake.
They lived in Orlando until Brian was 3 years old then they moved to Port Mayaca, FL. After 9 months they moved to Pahokee where they lived for 18 months. They finally settled in Homestead where he graduated from South Dade High School. He worked as a mechanic for many years before opening his own business. He married Kelly Wilson in 1996 and their daughter, Krysten, was born on December 31, 1998. He was a proud daddy of this beautiful baby girl.
In 2003 he married Elizabeth Tindall and became stepfather to Liz’s daughter, Rachel. They opened Burgess Mobile Service where Brian used his skills as a mechanic to service anything from automobiles to heavy equipment. He loved working with his hands and building things and had loved tools and keys since he was a child.
Brian and Liz moved to Wisconsin in 2010 where he worked for Mercedes-Benz. After a bad motorcycle accident left him unable to work as a mechanic, he searched for other jobs. He went to Texarkana, Texas and found work selling vacation resort packages. He passed away suddenly on Monday, September 7, 2015. His smile and infectious laughter will certainly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
