

Carole Ewing of Clermont, Florida died July 30, 2015 at the age of 70. Carole was born August 1, 1944 in Kasson, Minnesota to parents Harold and Norma Kracht. After graduating high school, she moved to Gainesville, Florida where she met and married her husband of 49 years, William Ewing. Shortly thereafter they moved to Dallas, Texas where she completed her R.N. degree in Nursing from El Centro College. She worked for 10 years as an ICU nurse at Baylor Hospital. Thereafter she continued to work for Baylor as an Insurance Claims Administrator. She completed her B.S. degree in Healthcare Administration during this time. After Baylor she left to join SSI and began selling durable medical equipment to the Healthcare Industry. She left Dallas and moved to Orlando with her husband after he retired in 1991. She began work with Orlando Regional Hospital as a Quality Control Nurse Liaison. After a few years she was hired as Manager of Eastern Region Business Development for Transitional Hospitals Corp. from which she retired in 1998. She had varied interests that included traveling, fishing, reading, gardening, dancing and, most of all, creating hand-made greeting cards. She is survived by her husband, William Ewing, two stepchildren, Suzanne Ewing and Yvonne Ewing, as well as brothers and sisters Ben Kracht, Doug Kracht, Jeff Kracht, Kevin Kracht, Linda Strain and Mary Musolf. Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida is entrusted to arrangements.
