

He was the beloved husband and best friend of his one and only true love of 45 years; Sandra Edmondson McGuire of Tishomingo, MS. They became high school sweethearts while attending Ocoee High School together and would later marry in Orlando, FL.
Born February 10, 1948, he was the son of the late Edgar Wade McGuire and the late Margie Pruitt McGuire Byron.
He was a dedicated, hard worker with a hard to duplicate work ethic and principles. He held various certifications and responsibilities throughout his career in the Petroleum Industry where he eventually retired.
Charles honorably served his country during the Vietnam War as a soldier in the United States Army. For his bravery and heroic acts on the battlefield, he received many accolades including the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with Valor.
He was a member of the National Bicycle League, dedicating his time as a volunteer within the organization and holding the track director at Orlando BMX in Barnett Park. He enjoyed travelling to BMX races with his family where they met many of their closest lifetime friends who have become family.
He loved to be a Papa to his grandchildren. He attended as many events as he could whether it be softball games, soccer games, horse shows, plays, programs, school functions or just taking them on a bike ride or fishing in the neighborhood pond.
He will be remembered for his enduring strength, bravery, courage, genuine interest in helping others, his award winning personality, his quick witted sense of humor and the impressions he made on everyone who met him.
His legacy lives on in the hearts and memories made with his spouse and family that he is currently watching over. He is held in the hearts of his wife, Sandra McGuire of Orlando, FL. His son CJ McGuire, wife Amanda McGuire of LaBelle, FL and children Sophia and Dyson. His Daughter Amanda McGuire, husband Franz Harich of Winter Springs, FL and children Elisa, Jacob and Kylie. His son Chris McGuire, wife Sarah McGuire of Alabaster, AL and children Makenzie, Evan and John Alan. His daughter Tina McGuire of Astor, FL and children Keegan, Cody and Blaine Faison, wife Tonya Gunn of Orlando, FL children (great grandchildren) Zoey, Teulah and Raylen. His sister JoAnn Garrison, husband Leon Garrison of Sanford, FL. His brother John McGuire, wife Sheila McGuire of Winter Garden, FL. His sister Sharon Monette, husband Greg Monette of Orange City, FL. His sister Linda McCoy, husband Tim McCoy of Fernandina Beach, FL. He is preceded in death by his brother, Harold McGuire.
Please join family and friends for Visitation from 1-3pm and A Memorial Service from 3-4pm to be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016.
