He was born in Bessemer, Alabama on August 25, 1935 to the late Estelle White.
Charlie retired from the United States Army as a Warrant Officer; and, later became successful at Lockheed Martin as a Project Manager, as well as a realtor. Despite his incredible intelligence, and many accomplishments, Charlie maintained a humble, giving presence. In his free time, he enjoyed computers and technology, got involved in multiple community organizations, and was an avid reader and student of the Bible.
Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Ovetta Steele; and his mother, Estelle White.
He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Annie M Walker and Sue Whitely; brothers-in-law, Anthony, Barry and Stanley Tolbert; and, a host of nieces and nephews.
Please join us at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 for a Visitation at 11:00am, and Celebration of Life at 12:00pm, immediately followed by interment in Woodlawn Memorial Park. A catered reception will follow.
