Mrs. Christine M. Carbone, age 45 of Winter Garden, Florida went home to be with the Lord on September 25, 2012 after 203 days of hospitalization at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, with the love and support of her family and friends by her side.
Christine was born in New Hartford, New York on September 19, 1967, the daughter of Richard Anthony and Rose Marie (Gemedschiew) Guido. Raised and educated in Utica, she attended T.R. Proctor High School and graduated with the Class of 1985. She furthered her studies at Herkimer Community College and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1989.
On October 24, 1998 she married Richie Carbone. Richie and Christine shared a very special bond and a reciprocal love for each other. Richie cherished her smile. Christine appreciated his ability to respect her, to love her so deeply, his never ending devotion to her, and his ability and desire to make her happy. There love was truly a match made in heaven.
Christine is survived by her husband Richie Carbone: her parents Richard A. and Rose Marie. She also leaves behind her brother Richard A. Guido of Ithaca; her Mother-In-Law Carol Ann Carbone: her Sister and Brother-In-Law Raymond and Donna Florio;cherished aunt and uncle, Kathy and Ralph Seibert, maternal grandmother, Eugene Gemedschiew: paternal grandmother Amelia (Testa) Guido: numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Gregor Gemedschiew, and Flamino "Flam" and Anna Guido and her brother Michael.
Christine began her career as a videographer at WUTR in Utica, New York. Christine worked for Disney World as a Sales Agent for 18 years. Everyone can agree that this is when her love affair began with “MICKEY.”
Christine loved life. She always had a smile on her face. As sick as she was, she never complained. She met the challenges that came from her illness in stride. She had a God given zest for life.
The family is grateful to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the Critical and Intensive Care Units at Health Central Hospital for their devotion to Christine.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 9:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home located at 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. On Monday a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Father Peter Cordeno at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in the daily chapel. Committal prayers and interment will take place at Gravesite at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
