Delphine Marie Brooke, 96, of Orlando, Florida passed away on September 16, 2018. Delphine was born on May 11, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Mrs. Florence and Mr. Edward Wrobleski. Delphine graduated from the University of Detroit with a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy.
Family and friends were Del’s passion and delight. She grew up in Detroit with two brothers, Edward and Arthur, and loved spending summers and holidays with her cousins Hugo and Don. A loving mother and wife, she lived with her husband Tom at Manor Club in Rockville, Maryland for 22 years, raising her four sons. She and Tom moved to Bay Hill in Orlando, Florida in 1979, and they were very active in the Bay Hill country club and golf community. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando.
Delphine is predeceased by her husband, Thomas Matchan Brooke.
She is survived by son Tom and wife Linda of Griffin, Georgia; son Dave of Apopka, Florida; son Chris and wife Diane of Orlando, Florida; and son Jim and wife Diane of Cumming, Georgia. She is also survived by one niece, Ann Wrobleski-Truluck of Charleston, South Carolina, her seven grandchildren: Steven, Dan, Matthew, Stephen, Michael, Randall and Colleen, and her great-granddaughter Calla.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 27th at 8:30am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5125 S. Apopka-Vineland Road, Orlando, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Orlando www.svdporlando.org.
