I can still hear his laugh. Also every time we went out to eat, him commenting to the waitress "Your a good cook girl!" I love him SO much but I am not worried one bit because I know he went straight to heaven and has front row seats! Save us one too Papa Don!

A gentleman first... this was Don. He always had a ready smile and a camera in his hand. Will always be loved and much missed.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as family. I enjoyed working with Don at LMCO.

Uncle Donald was one of my favorite uncles. When i was little i remember being in awe thinking he went to work down in Florida to build rockets that went to the moon. As i got older i came to appreciate a man who loved God and loved his family. i saw him through the eyes of nanny and gran when he came to visit and how they so enjoyed him and he them. i had the privilege to live with nan and gran for a bit while i was in school and they talked of Donald with such heartfelt joy and i knew that to be true because i enjoyed being around him too.

As another niece of Donald's I too loved when he visited us in Memphis. He loved my mother so much and she him. We had so many fun times with him at Nanny & Gran's. We visited his little purple house in Florida many summers and have so many memories of him and his family. In later years enjoyed the reunions in Ripley and seeing him and getting to know Margaret. What a special person he was, he could always make me laugh! Barbara Hurley Mays

I'll never forget visiting Uncle Donald and attending the church with him where led the music. Those memories had a profound effect on my life. Today I attempt to lead the music at Concord Baptist. Even though we didn't get to see him very often, due to the distance between our families, the joy and love that he expressed and brought to us will always be remembered and cherished. Uncle Donald's legacy lives on through the christian example he set for all of us.

I always looked forward to when Uncle Donald came to visit.  He always brought loads of pictures and told us happy stories.  I loved to hear him laugh.  We were able to visit him a few times.  The first car I owned, we went to visit him that summer.  It was a blast.  I remember thinking how much fun it was living in Florida and I will never forget those fun times.  Many times at Nanny's we would gather for a meal and to visit with him.  He was always so much fun.  He always called my dad "bub" and the closeness they shared was so good.  He was always kind and loving towards my whole family.  I will truly miss you Uncle Donald.  I know you had a love for Jesus that brings comfort to all.  Love Jimmy, Kathy, Amy and Krista Brown.

Too many memories come to mind, I was so young and looked up to a man who had a dream and fulfilled it. He always had the greatest smile and warmest welcome even for a nephew that thought he was a super star. 

Still to this day, I brag to my kids on his accomplishments, and the joy I had spending time with a simple, down to earth, kind and loving man. He was the best story telling man I have ever met. We would sit around my grand Mom's table hanging on his every word, as he astonished us with his new innovations, and then laugh until we cried as the kids would roll in the fields playing games like he was our age. 

It was a pleasure and a grace from God that he shaped and molded part of the man I am today.
