Donald C. Lance

(June 16, 1921 – July 11, 2011)

Donald C. Lance, age 90, a resident of Altamonte Springs, Florida passed away on Monday, July 11, 2011.

He was born June 16, 1921 in Belen, New Mexico to the late John V. and Fannie (Linn) Lance.

On May 10, 1946 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, he was united in marriage to Betty J. Duckwitz. She preceded her husband in death October 23, 1996. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Betsy A. Lance Schilonski (1977); son, Steven D. Lance (1980); brothers, John F., J.O. and Paul Lance.

Mr. Lance was a Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force. Among his many interests, he was an avid golfer and member of Rolling Hills Golf Club for 35+ years, enjoyed listening to music and singing, watching birds and most of all loved his cat, Boots, his family and friends.

His survivors include his daughter, Michele J. Lance; nephews, James O. (Beth) Lance and Paul Lance, Jr.; nieces Lorene Lance (Oz) Ward, Nancy and Susie Lance.

A Private Service was held on Sat., July 16, 2011 at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, Gotha, FL. 407-293-1361.
