Doris M. Stevenson

Stevenson, Doris Marie, 93 of Orlando was born into Eternal Life with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 3:35 PM. She was born in Louisville, KY on February 23, 1920. She married the love of her life G.B.(Steve) Stevenson on August 10,1942. Doris was a devoted wife and mother of two daughters. Doris interests were gardening, sewing, crafts and needle work. Doris also taught Sunday school at her Baptist church. After the untimely death of her husband in 1961 she returned to her career as secretary at Bashford Manor Elementary school, from where she retired. Doris moved to Orlando with her sister in 1986 to be with her daughters and their families.

She is survived by her sister Edna Mae Williams, Shelbyville, KY, daughter Becky Specht (Peter) & grand daughter Teri Montgomery of Orlando, daughter Janet Farris (Bruce) & grandson Steve Farris, Shelbyville and grand daughter Rachel Farris, Orlando.

A memorial service will be held 3 PM Friday January 10th, at St Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 1430 Citrus Oaks Ave, Gotha, FL Building100. Senior Pastor Bryan Stamper presiding. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

Funeral and internment will be in Louisville at a date to be determined.
