July 16, 1928 – May 4, 2022

IN THE CARE OF
Woodlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park
Dorothea “Dottie” Clack was born in Woburn, MA on July 16, 1928. She moved to Florida with her seven siblings when she was a young child. She married Jeff “Norris” Clack on September 6, 1947 and they raised a family on 20 acres. As their three children grew up and married, they each built a house on corners of the property with Dottie and Norris (Mom and Dad) in the middle. Grandchildren came along and after Norris passed, Dottie remained the matriarch of the family that continued to grow together in place for decades. They also built a beach house in Hernando Beach where the whole family still gathers for holidays and vacations full of fun on the water.
Dottie loved going to church and worshipping Jesus, cooking huge Southern meals for her family, hosting family game and movie nights, fishing and simply floating on the Gulf flats watching the boats go by.
Dottie is preceded in death by her husband Jeff Norris Clack and her son Jeff Nathan Clack. She is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Steve) Akers, Rita (Ken) Manny, daughter in law, Jean Clack, grandchildren, Jeff Akers (aka Landon Price), David Akers, Angie (Pete) Boykin, Jeff “Nick” (Amy) Clack, Devon Manny, and Keith (Gabby) Clack, and her great grandchildren, Nathan, Maddy, Jeff “Nash”, and Mia.
She was the sweetest, most loving, generous and thoughtful mother and grandmother, better known as “nanny”, and friend who always made each and every single loved one feel unique and special. Dottie went home to be with the Lord on May 4, 2022. Her love lives on forever in all of her family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 10:30 am with a service to follow at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Funeral Home 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road in Gotha, FL.
