Dorothy Osbourne was born on March 17, 1962, to Theresa Davis and Adolphus Osbourne. As the 10th of 13 children, she didn’t just grow up in a big family—she thrived in it. In a home full of voice. She did this with her warmth, and kindness, and that unmistakable light that followed her everywhere.
Dorothy was born in Frankfield, where she attended Frankfield Infant and Primary School and later Edwin Allen High. She is the mother of two sons, who were her heart, her pride, her everything. She loved them fiercely, supported them endlessly, and made sure they always knew that no matter what, they were deeply loved.
She was blessed with six grandchildren, Josiah, Jada, Amina, Xena, Jamaya, and Jayda—her pride and joy. They brought a special kind of happiness into her life. With them, she wasn’t just Grandma—she was storyteller, chef, and protector.
Dorothy shared a bond with her siblings Pamela, Hallett, Horace, Ainsley, Carol, Donovan, and Arlene. She loved her brothers and sisters and would be quick to come to their defense. She was a steady presence, a source of love, and someone who helped to keep the family connected.
Dorothy had a spirit you couldn’t ignore. She was the kind of person who could walk into a room and, within minutes, have everyone laughing, talking, and feeling like they’d known her forever. While some people make impression, Dorothy made memories. Her smile could light up a room, and her laughter had a way of spreading.
Dorothy worked as a Home Health Aide, caring for others with the same compassion she showed her family. She continued to grow in her education by returning to school and earning her associate degree in Medical Billing and Coding.
Dorothy Osbourne was a devoted Christian and active member of her Church, Power of Faith Ministries in Miramar, where she served faithfully under Bishop Michael Hutchinson and Minister Patricia Hutchinson. Her faith wasn’t just something she spoke about, it was something she lived every single day, through kindness, service, and unwavering devotion.
