
DOROTHY (EDIE) WEBB, 87, died Saturday, September 10, 2011. Edie was born December 21, 1923 in Jacksonville, FL to Dewey C. Dorminy and Dorothy Carroll Dorminy. During World Was II, Edie met Ted, her husband of 63 years, who predeceased her in May 2008. Edie worked at National Airlines during World War II as a radio operator. She later worked for Dade County Public Schools as a secretary of Morningside Elementary. She enjoyed spending time with family through the years at her home in Biscayne Park, and weekend and holiday getaways in Key Largo and LaBelle "the Swamp". We will miss you for too many reasons to mention, but particularly for your laugh, devotion to our family, showing respect to ALL people and sticking up for the underdog. She is survived by daughter Debbie Dundas (Lewis), grandson Edwin Theodore (Teddy) Dundas of Windermere, brother Fred Dorminy (June) of Thomasville, GA and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Dewey (Bo) C. Dorminy Jr. (Pat) and Phillip N. Dorminy. Burial will be Wednesday, September 14th at 2:30 PM at Woodlawn Park North Cemetery, 3260 S.W. 8th Street, Miami, FL. A celebration of Edie's life will be held Saturday, October 8th at 12:00 PM, Dundas residence, Windermere, FL.
